Back!!!... Still as fed up with my wardrobe as ever but at least my blog is looking kinda refreshed... New layout, new header (designed by Layla) and a new blog name to boot... I'm now Zizzi's Locker (though my url will remain the same), to reflect the fact that I don't only blog about my clothes.

Today i'm sporting a top I bought in Afflecks Palace a few weeks ago. You can't really tell in the pics but it's pretty see through and perfect for the baking weather we've been having in London recently as it's probably the closest you can get to being naked without actually being naked, ha...

She's Instantly More Pretty And More Interesting Than Me, She Is Thinking Before She Speaks, She Is Not All Red And Angry...

I took these yesterday and I swear it has to have been one of the lamest days i've had in a longgggg while... And not the good kinda lame either, where you dance round your room singing along to N*SYNC, watch 10 Real Housewives episodes consecutively and veg out on pizza, pasta and any other carb you can find in your kitchen, all the while sporting some awful  greying pair of jogging bottoms and a crusty, old t-shirt...  No no. This was one of those self-pitying 'why am I so shit at everything i'm supposed to be good at'? 'Why does the shaved side of my head seem to grow so much faster than the hair on the top of my head?', 'Why am I broke all the time but still just as much in debt as I was 4 months ago?', 'why am I so bloody lazy?', 'Why why why???? Wahhhhhhhhhhh' type of days.

Anyway, the point of all that wining was basically to let you know that my photos today aren't very inspired at all, though the second one where i'm holding my braids out like i'm a tent is good for a laugh. Not a belly laugh by any means but perhaps a little chuckle?!...

Went to see Solange last week when she performed at XOYO in London. Even though i'm already a huge admirer I wasn't expecting her singing to be that good. She sounded perfect from beginning to end and is even more stunning in person than in pictures!!!!

We spent more time dancing than taking pictures but below are a few shots Arsema managed to snap, apart from the first one which i'm pretty sure was taken by Nami...

I know the quality of today's picture is hideous but I only had 2 minutes to take it.

Anyway, this is just a quickie to let you know 2 things:

1. This is my new hair- as you can see my braids are still super long but i've added blonde to the bottom (will do a clearer post when I get chance)
2. ***As some of you know I work in the Oxford Street (London) branch of Forever 21. Well they launched a personal stylist service yesterday which will be run by me and Ellis so if you live in London come by and have a session with us!!... I'm in tomorrow (Saturday 8th December) from 2.30pm until we close. The sessions are free and you're not obliged to buy anything but we'll show you lots of our latest stuff for you to try on and have a nice chat with you in our styling room. If this is something you'd be interested in you can call Forever 21 from 9am onwards and book an appointment with us on 0207 493 1553 or just walk in and ask for me and we'll see you straight away if we're free.***

Life's Too Short To Even Care At All... I'm Losing My Mind, Losing My Mind, Losing Control...

One of my greatest character flaws is impatience. I'm not impatient in every sense, I don't get annoyed easily or anything like that but when it comes to things like: learning new skills, waiting for a delivery to arrive or buying something I feel I need I can be ridiculously impatient- Once my mind is made up- I want things when I want them and that doesn't always work to my advantage...

That is why I still haven't learnt how to use my camera. 

My mind was set on being able to take better photos for my blog and in general, so when my friend offered to sell me his old camera at a reasonable price I emptied what was left in my bank account and bought it.... This was several months ago.

As hasty as i'd been with making the purchase, I was so impatient with learning how to use it that it's basically been sitting on my shelf collecting dust while I use my other (inferior) camera or borrow other people's for 99% of my photographs.

Well today I decided I was finally ready to take a deep breath and tackle it again. The quality difference between the Lumix i'm always using and the Pentax I should be using is like night and day. See for yourself...-

Even though i've obviously messed around with the colour etc, the first pic (and unfortunately the best one of the bunch) was taken with my Lumix...

All the rest were taken with the Pentax...

I've always wanted my blog to have big, clear, bright pictures on it, with better detail. More about my clothes, hair and make-up products and less about my stupid, unchanging face lol...

 Maybe with a bit of intense practice I can finally put my impatience aside, stop wanting to throw my camera out the window every time a picture doesn't come out how I wanted it to and make the adjustments here that i've been wanting to make for so long...

I feel my patience increasing slightly just saying that lol

What Is REAL? What Is REAL Now? Am I Still? Am I Here Now? If I'm Still, Will I Feel Now??...

After braids questions the second most common thing people e-mail me about is my REAL hair, i'm not sure what's so interesting about it and i've posted pics with it before but i'm gonna quickly address the main questions in this post.

I took my braids out this week so that I could rest my hair and rebraid it. I pin it inwards for styling but you can get the general idea of what it's like from these pics Sam snapped the other day...

• Shirt- H&M

• As you can see my natural texture has grown out a fair bit but I still have relaxed bits haunting me for an inch or 2 at the ends.

• I don't take a great deal of interest in hair type and categories etc but from what i've seen over the years on the internet and in magazines my hair is probably best described as a combination of  4a and 4b. It is combed out in the pics though so you can't see the curl pattern.

• When straight the longest part of my hair is now over 6 inches long 

• In terms of protecting hair when sleeping I have pretty much the same routine as when my hair is in braids- P.M. night time oil and a satin cap, only difference is I also plait my hair before putting the cap on to minimise knotting and breakage during the night.

For those of you who have asked questions i've addressed I hope this is helpful, if anyone else has anything to ask about my reallllll hair just leave it as a comment or e-mail me and I will add it to this post just below!!
